SO sorry for all the delays in my gathering and delivering of info to you.
And, again, another today that'll probably postpone actual signing of the
contracts until Monday. >:-(
But I know you're all champing at the bit, so I'll just say this for now:
Yes,the rooms are more expensive, and the bad news is:
Though we were contracting for rooms at the Fairfield Inn (main bldg. of
old Hacienda Hotel) at $139/night and the Aloft (South Tower of old HH)
---which is next door and where the Con Suite and Party will be--- at
$159/night, the Fairfield still isn't finished and may not open in time. SO
ALL the rooms may be at the Aloft and $159.
A word to those who smartly shop around, I'm assured these rates will not
be lower in any online/package deal. Certainly, you're free to stay
somewhere else, but do compute your travel back-and-forth and your
convenience when deciding. Also PLEASE do let me know if you'll be lodging
elsewhere, so I block just the number of rooms we need. We'll pay a penalty
for not filling all the rooms I save in a block.
For these reasons, I'd greatly appreciate a Really Quick Note with the
following info. This is NOT a commitment here, but I'm worried I won't
block enough rooms.
YOU CAN'T MAKE RESERVATIONS YET, so they're having me keep a running list,
which will serve as
your Place-holding Pre-Reservation.
