Actor Jeff Bridges says he has lymphoma, cites good prognosis

The 70-year-old actor channeled his The Dude character from “The Big Lebowski” in a statement on social media <https://twitter.com/TheJeffBridges/status/1318341223384518663> about the diagnosis Monday evening. He said he understands the disease is serious. He expressed gratitude to his family, friends and medical team and promised to keep fans posted on his recovery. Bridges is a seven-time Oscar nominee known for his roles in “Starman,” “True Grit,” “The Last Picture Show” and many other films. He won an Academy Award in 2010 for “Crazy Heart” and was most recently nominated for playing a grizzled lawman in “Hell or High Water.” The affable Bridges is considered Hollywood royalty, the son of actors Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges, who both died in 1998.

Virtual Family Con Saturday October 10. Which was the actual date we were shooting for before the pandemic. Virtual party starting at 1 pm PST / 4 pm EST / 10 pm to approximately Germany. Come, hang out, catch up. Following the party Stephanie Rose-Feldmann will be auctioning off her Starman Jacket. I’ll add in a few items I have. Unfortunately I have not connected with Lynda Sappington regarding her auction donations so those will have to wait for 2022. Watch party - it’s Ruta and Thomas Dachsel’s anniversary. So get your dvd/tapes ready for a watch party and live discussion of the Wedding episode. Friday Pizza Party. On Friday October 9th at 6 pm PST order your favorite pie and gather for a short test of the meeting software. Bruce Jividen will set up a meeting link as a test run for Saturday. He will post links here for Friday and Saturdays meet ups. There may be a short download required. Any questions should be directed to Bruce. See you all there.
