This Friday night, January 1st, we will usher in 2021 with original poetry as performed by the poets themselves. Please join us as we welcome in 2021 with readings by -- *DAVID ANDREWS * 40 years in the “salt mine.” Currently on Queen of the South. Recently on The Boys, Watchmen. Others include Terminator 3, Apollo13, WWZ, Wyatt Earp, Fair Game, Justified, JAG, et al. *MICHAEL CAVANAUGH* Michael has done over 150 movies and TV shows as well as close to 100 plays over these long, wonderful years. He has done a wide variety of things ranging from the honey hungry hero in Winnie the Pooh to Oh! Calcutta, as well as almost defeating Chuck Norris in the ultimate fight in "Forced Vengeance." Her film "Reaching for Sky" was recently selected for the San Diego Int'l Film Fest and the global online theatre event and film produced in quarantine with partner Ron Logan ( www.logansquaredproductions.com <https://smartphonetheatre.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2e9190455306f8…>) were just named Best Pandemic-Related Project by SD Union Tribune. *ELAINE MADSEN* Elaine Madsen is the current editor of Felix Magazine, and the writer director of the documentary “I Know a Woman Like That,”winner of Rhode Island Film Festival’s International Humanitarian Award, available on Amazon and Hulu. She is the Emmy Award winning writer, director producer of the Chicago documentary “Better Than It Has To Be”. She is the author of “The Texan and Dutch Gas” a biography about the discovery of the North Sea natural gas field in Groningen, Netherlands, andof her book of of poetry "Crayola Can’t Make These Colors”, both available on Amazon. *DON NORMAN* Don is somebody’s father, somebody’s friend, and somebody’s sweetheart. He has written code, newspaper stories and poems. He likes dancing and people who like dancing. He loves peanut butter, but not avocados. He is currently wandering in California. *BUFFY SHUTT* Buffy Shutt lives in Los Angeles where she writes poetry and short fiction. Before retiring to write full-time, she worked in the movie industry. *POETRI* Poetri is a Tony, Emmy and nice guy award winner. As the founder of the largest open Mic in the world, Da’ Poetry Lounge, he has been personally invited to the White House…and loves you. Yes, You! *SHIRLEY SNIDERMAN* A transplant from New York, I have been living in the Los Angeles area long enough to have witnessed two major earthquakes, one pandemic and 7 grandchildren. I was employed as a Speech and Language therapist for the schools and hospitals and my poetry writing has been ongoing most of my life. I have performed in local community theaters, several TV shows and had a chance to do some standup comedy along the way. I have written several screenplays, short stories and now a book of poetry (yet to be published). I am very excited to have the opportunity to share my poetry with everyone.
