Thanks, Todd! That was an interesting article. Why are we only just now hearing about a Starman remake? According to imdb.com, it's been "in production" since 2017! Did I miss an email about it? Can't say I'm excited over the director and writer though. I mean, they could be fine, but their credits to date, what few there are, don't seem very impressive. One thing caught my eye in the article, "[Douglas] kept in touch with [Diane Thomas] throughout the five years it took the film to come to the screen, even drafting her in for some uncredited script doctor duties on Starman in the meantime." We know how radically different the original Evans/Gideon script was from what made it to the screen ("Kill 'em all!"), so I wonder if we might have Thomas to thank for some of the important changes.
I guess we shall see how it turns out, if it ever does. Hope everyone is well and staying that way! Lil

Hi All, The early producing credits of Michael Douglas: from Cuckoo's Nest to Starman – Film Stories
He describes his early involvement in the STARMAN movie, which I don't remember reading about before. The article ends with this tidbit:
35 years on, Douglas is now developing the planned Starman remake, which has Shaun Levy directing.
