I spoke with Michael Cavanaugh at one of the Starman Family Cons. I told him that I had originally detested "George Fox" because I thought that he was such a screw-up, but several years later, realized that I had been attracted to the show by the father-son relationship and that "Fox" represented a threat to that relationship, the kind of relationship that I always wanted to have with my father. He told me that several other fans had expressed the same thoughts to him. I remember how thrilled I was when I watched the "Fever" episode for the first time and thought, "We've finally gotten rid of George Fox so he won't be bothering Starman and Scott anymore." Alas, it didn't last.
