Just a preliminary notice for info about the next Starman Family-Con:
The good news is that there will definately be a Family-Con this year.
For those of you that may or may not know, Vicki Werkley is stepping down from the chair role and has asked me to take over the planning and logistics of the Convention. I am humbled in her faith in me and proud that after all these years we are still able to do this. We will maintain efforts to keep traditions alive and keep doing what we are doing. Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Firstly, we are looking into hotels, but hope to be able to stay in the current setup if we can. Depending on pricing we will try to be at either the Aloft or the Fairfield Inn. Location wise these hotels are perfectly situated near the airport with Free shuttle service to and from the airport. It is also close to the train into town and Uber can be your friend if you would like to explore on your own We are currently looking for available weekend dates in October. if you could chime in here what works and what absolutely WILL NOT work for you, even if you are not sure you can attend. There is a poll on Facebook or leave a comment here.
Also, if any of you still owe any fees from previous years from the "In Your Pocket Fund", please have those fees paid before planning to attend this years Convention.
More information will follow as soon as we know something. We hope to see you there.
